Building Volunteer
Volunteer to Build a House with VBC
Two ways to volunteer on our building projects
Volunteers are the backbone of VBC. Without the support of generous people from around the world we would not have been able to build so many houses for people in need.
There are two ways you can join our building volunteer projects.
1. Fund the full cost of a house and if you wish, come and build the house with the VBC team.
2. Join us as an individual volunteer for a short-term or long-term placement. Your fees contribute to a range of building projects that you will work on in the beautiful countryside around Siem Reap.

Who volunteers with VBC?
Join Our Life-Changing Building Projects
At Volunteer Building Cambodia (VBC), our house-building projects offer a powerful opportunity for individuals, families, and groups to create lasting change in Cambodian communities. Whether you’re traveling solo, with loved ones, or as part of a team, you’ll experience meaningful hands-on work while giving the gift of a safe and secure home to a family in need.
We welcome people of all ages and abilities and tailor each building experience to suit the preferences and physical capabilities of our volunteers. From lighter duties to more physical tasks, there’s a role for everyone. However, for safety reasons, we generally advise against bringing children under 15. In special cases, we do allow younger volunteers if they are accompanied and supervised by a parent or guardian at all times while on-site.
Our program isn’t just for individuals—it’s also a fantastic initiative for schools, universities, and corporations seeking impactful social responsibility programs or unforgettable team-building experiences. By building a home together, your team will strengthen bonds, develop leadership skills, and make a tangible difference in someone’s life.
